Welcome

The Kingston Community Legal Clinic is a non-profit community legal clinic. The clinic was founded in 1988 and is currently staffed by two lawyers, a community legal worker and office manager.

We serve low income residents of the City of Kingston, Township of South Frontenac and Township of Frontenac Islands.

The clinic is funded by Legal Aid Ontario.

A community-based Board of Directors is responsible for the clinic's operation.

Vision

We envision a future in which individuals and communities are informed and empowered, by  having a well-resourced, integrated, accessible and accountable justice and community service system.

Values

Everyone who approaches the Legal Clinic for legal help has the right to be treated with dignity and competence.

The Legal Clinic will reach out to those who do not come to us for help but who may be victims of injustice.

We will try to promote justice by influencing the laws, policies and programs that affect disadvantaged people.

The Legal Clinic promotes a working environment that is healthy, supportive, respectful and fair.  Enjoying what we are doing enables us to serve others more effectively.
